KTM Fires All 5 Employees Who Abused New Dukes in India

KTM India responded back to the recent event that saw mishandling of certain new KTM bikes (250Duke & 390 Duke) inside a dealership by its own employees. They were found guilty of abusing the new bikes by redlining them and dancing over the same inside the premises. KTM has fired all of them as no explanation for the act can actually prove it as a legal thing. The event surfaced when one out of those five made a live webcast for the same and tagged Bajaj India, KTM India, their dealership page and popular KTM groups. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZtIri4f8c3M

The video went viral on social networking websites within a few hoursĀ

2017 KTM 390 Duke and 250 Duke were recently launched in India for INR 2.25 lakh and INR 1.73 lakh respectively. KTM employees simply had the work to deliver those premium lightweight street machines to their respective owners but they fell into this act of indiscipline and ruined the mood of millions of fans around the country. People out there are saving each rupee to buy their dream bike and give it a decent run-in period for extended engine life while the insiders were putting all those dreams in vain. ktm KTM India has cleared the fact that those bikes were for the display purpose and would not be sold to any customer. This could bring back the lost faith of many fans into the Austrian brand. They even thanked everyone to bring this thing into their notice and promised that all 325+ showrooms across the country are ready to serve their customers with utmost pleasure. The KTM range has now been extended to five with the entry of new 250 Duke. The bikes are purely performance focused and ready to race. The video showed staff of the showroom behaving in an unprofessional manner and misusing a brand new 390 Duke and 250 Duke. In light of this video 5 members of staff who were involved in misusing the motorcycles and filming the act have been dismissed with immediate effect. We would also like to share that the motorcycles seen in the video are exclusively meant for display and demonstration purpose at the Nedumangad showroom. These motorcycles were not and will be not eligible for sale to customers. We would like to thank all of you who as custodians of KTM shared the incident with us helping us to take prompt action. We also appreciate your understanding that this was in every sense a standalone case and in no way reflects the sincerity with which more than 325 KTM showrooms across the country serve our valued customers.
