Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS Unveiled at EICMA 2016

Royal Enfield was quick enough to fit its Himalayan with ABS and making it Euro4 compliant. The same was showcased at EICMA 2016, wearing the same panels as the Indian version while carrying more safety and environment friendly engine. The Indian Himalayan is BS3 compliant and comes at INR 1.56 lakh, without ABS. The company claims that engine is smoother than ever and claims a better fuel efficiency now.

Royal enfield Himalayan comes with a 15 liter fuel tank and uses steel frame with better off-road support and safety. It uses dual purpose tyres, an impressive instrument console and brings around 480 kilometers of range from single refill. The version seen on the EICMA was fitted with fuel injected system, making it Euro4 compliant and better in power delivery from the very beginning of rev range. The motorcycle also had automatic headlights on the displayed version.

The Indian spec Himalayan comes with a long stroke 411 cc, carburetor fed engine producing 24.5 BHP and 32 Nm of torque. It weighs 182 kg and can cruise all day long without tiring the rider and the engine itself. Its 220 mm of ground clearance makes every surface feel like road. The Himalayan could go for 10,000 kilometers within oil change and carries a low maintenance structure for lesser hassles. It is expected that RE will launch the Himalayan ABS +  Fi in India by mid-2017. Know More About Royal Enfield Himalayan: http://autos.maxabout.com/bikes/royal-enfield/himalayan
