Nissan is hoping to dominate this market by rolling out 100,000 cars every year when it starts production in its Tennessee plant in the US. According to Nissan, the market will see ZEVs as early as next year but in 2012, there will be a lot more vehicles available.

    Ashok Leyland has reported a decline of 52.2% in its commercial vehicle sales in March this year, at 5,112 units, as compared to 10,696 units in March 2008. The company’s domestic sales stood at 4,441 units in March 2009, as against 9,541 units in March last year. Exports were down from 1,155 units in March 2008, to 671 units in March this year.
