Priyadarshan and Nandita Das at Toronto Film Fest!Thursday, August 07, 2008 Although we are yet to make our presence felt at the Cannes International Film Festival, at least in the competition section, Indian cinema has certainly made an impact in Toronto. While the recent Unforgettable Tour premiered there, films like The Last Lear, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Kabul Express have featured as part of the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival in the past.
In addition to the Preity Zinta starrer Heaven on Earth, which is actually a Canadian film, a documentary about the first Indian police officer titled Yes Madam, Sir will also be screened at the festival. Today, festival organizers announced two new Indian titles. The following are a synopsis of these films taken from the Festival website as well as info about the filmmaker.

Actor Suniel Shetty says that he’s doing fewer movies these days because he hasn’t got any exciting offers, not because he has become finicky about roles. "The truth is that since the last year or so, I haven’t got good film offers at all. Trash was coming to me in the name of scripts. I am not insecure that I would go for any role. I’m in a position now that I don’t need to compromise," Suniel said.

The prolific actor, who is known for his on-screen stunts and comedy, walked the ramp with bare torso showing his physique along with the apparel he was suppose to display before an avid audience.
