Pantech Qbric Movie Phone With DivX Player Released

SKY is planned to launch a movie mania, Qbric (IM-R470S) with DivX player, by which DVD quality movies can be viewed without need of changing process, from next week.

This product is a 3G full-touch screen handset to be launched via SK Telecom, which has DivX player to allow direct viewing of high definition movies without need of otherwise changing process and SKY 3D UI "TruEmotion" dedicated for full-touch screen, the first time with the series of the product. DivX player supports high definition movies format such as H.264, MPEG4, DivX, XviD to allow easily viewing of film, drama and animation without need of changing process. 

Especially, SKY's Qbric has super high quality WVGA (800×480) grade LCD and 3.2 inch LCD which definition is four times higher than WQVGA to allow viewing of DVD quality movies through large and clean screen. And, with wide viewing angle of 160 degree, the handset smartly responds to touch of user and also features excellent color rendition.

This handset also supports SKY 3D UI TruEmotion optimized to full-touch screen, the first time in handset. The greatest feature of "TruEmotion" is access by which 3D cube quickly and precisely responds to the action of user. For example, when 3D cube is touched to the left and to the right, turning speed of the cube is determined by strength of the force and, one touching makes quick changing of menu screen and fast and smart running of desired menu entries is available.

This handset also has many convenient and interesting features using proximity sensor, illumination sensor and acceleration sensor hidden here and there. For example, using proximity sensor, holding is made during talking to prevent from error and released automatically when the handset goes away form the ear. Using illumination sensor, you can automatically control LCD illumination by brightness of background to reduce power consumption. And the acceleration sensor supports moving screen as the handset rotates, convenient viewing of album and the games using acceleration sensor as well.

In addition, mini player features freely hanging anywhere in the screen to allow easily using of music even during use of other menu entries by setting BGP(Back Ground Play) and selecting Replay, Pause and Next by setting gesture. PIP(Picture In Picture) feature by which T map navigation and terrestrial DMB can be viewed in the same screen is also supported.

Furthermore, a 4GB external memory card is also accompanied with the product as basic accessory and, 300 Mega-pixel AF (Auto Focus) face recognition dual camera, GPS photographing, SKY neon, Bluetooth and other various features are provided. It has two colors, white and red.

Lee, Yong-Jun, managing director of SKY's domestic marketing headquarter said with self-confidence that: "This product will compete with strategic full-touch handsets of the competitors on an equal footing in the second half of the year and it's expected to set up a wave in the full-touch handset market in the second half of the year since DivX player, sensitive 3D UI and design of "Qbric" are superior to those of competitors."
