Skoda Kodiaq scored 5 star rating in the recently conducted crash test by Euro NCAP. The seven seat SUV is huge and came with 2.0 TDI engine on test. The car weighs 1635 kg and comes equipped with seven airbags.
The same car came with technology loaded appeal, bringing autonomous braking, speed assistance and lane assist system on the car. Kodiaq got 92 percent score for adult occupants, 77 percent for child occupants and 71 percent for pedestrians. Not just that, it brought 54 percent score for the safety assistance.
Skoda may launch the Kodiaq around the festive season of 2017 in India. Prices can be expected to fall between INR 26-28 lakh while the placement will be done right above the Superb. It will be known for the large number of features and would be a good option for those who need extra legroom and comfort in all seats.
It will rival Hyundai Santa Fe and Volkswagen Tiguan while indirect rivals include Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. It actually carries the same fascia as most other Skoda models sold internationally.

The current price of Kodiaq internationally converts to around INR 20 lakh of India. This could clearly undercut the rivals by a huge margin but brands have lot other taxes to pay when they are bringing some international product to India. Skoda Kodiaq measures 4697mm in length, 1882 mm in width and 1676 mm in height.
It offers the most technologically rich cabin in its class and a 720 mm boot space in the 5-seat variant (2065 litres boot space with rear seat folded). The wheel size will vary with variants, ranging from 17 to 19 inch. Heavily resembling the Vision S Concept, the car even carries 8 inch infotainment system with 64 GB flash drive.
