Tokyo Motor Show brought another surprise in the form of Honda Neo Sports Cafe Concept for their fans around the world. It was teased at various occasions before resultant product at the show was quite impressive in overall terms.
As no details regarding the engine and performance values were given, one can safely assume this concept to be for those who cannot compromise on technology but requires styling that was left back decades ago. All in all, it seems Honda was well aware of the Kawasaki Z900RS’s user response and decided to produce a counter effective product in short time.
Expected to be based on the same power-train as last generation CBR1000RR, Honda Neo Sports Cafe may not serve the same purpose as Z900 based retro machine. This one comes with futuristic appeal at various parts and thus, category of riders going for its production version would be different from retro machine fans.
Fans would love to see those clean four cylinder exhaust pipes merging into a silver finished compact exhaust on this awesome concept. Headlight comes with an LED ring inside a flat round unit while taillight feels smaller than all other machines of its class. They will introduce a bigger one with side indicators on the production version.
A well laid instrument console screen and perfectly sculpted fuel tank makes the Honda Neo Sports Cafe concept a delight from its top view. Other important features include USD front forks, long travel rear monoshock, wide rubber and impressive looking disc brakes at both ends.
Although customizers have tried this type of designing on certain products before, the match between a huge engine and least loaded body panels is worth watching at Tokyo Motor Show. Honda’s seat design looks impressively comfortable from its thickness and placement. Let’s see when they plan to bring Neo Sports Cafe into its production form.
