2019 Toyota Corolla hatchback was recently unveiled ahead of New York Auto Show. The car is based on new TNGA platform and shares its underpinnings with the Prius. One can expect minimal design changes for its sedan version. It comes with improved dimensions as well as features for 2019.

To make things sportier than ever, the inside gets an all black treatment. Toyota will use a 2.0L, four cylinder diesel engine instead of older 1.8L unit.
They have not yet announced the power values but buyers will get an option between 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox on the car. Suspension is more sport tuned now while safety features like pedestrian detection, radar based cruise control, lane keep assist, departure warning and auto headlights are offered as standard.
Buyers of the new Corolla hatchback will get 7 airbags as standard. India spec and US spec Toyota Corolla is quite different and thus, one cannot expect this design to arrive here is the coming months. Products in India are based on South Asian market preferences.
