Next generation Audi A4’s launch has been officially slotted on 8th September, replacing the current version. The car will initially launch with petrol engine only while the diesel variant will make it later to the Indian market. The new Audi will be powered by a 1.4 L, turbocharged petrol engine producing 148 BHP and 250 Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic transmission.
Sharing the Volkswagen group’s MLB platform, the new Audi A4 will be 95 kg lighter, thanks to the extensive use of aluminum in the frame of the car. The car will bring a new front fascia with the next generation hexagonal grill and LED headlights as well as taillights. It will rival the new Jaguar XE, Mercedes Benz C-Class, Volvo S60 and BMW 3 series.
