2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Launched in India; Gets Price Drop

As expected, Kawasaki has launched the upgraded 2020 model of the Ninja ZX-10R in India with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 13.99 lakh. Surprisingly, the new model is affordable by INR 31,000 in comparison to the last-generation model which had an ex-showroom price tag of INR 14.30 lakh before being discontinued in India. The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R competes with the likes of other litre-class superbikes in India like the Yamaha YZF-R1, BMW S1000RR, Aprilia RSV4 RR, Suzuki GSX-R1000R, Ducati Panigale V4, MV Agusta F4, and the Honda CBR1000R Fireblade.

The 2020 model of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R continues to be a locally assembled CKD (Completely Knocked Down) product. The upgraded version produces 3HP of more power than its predecessor. It now offers a maximum power of 203 HP at 13,500 rpm while the maximum torque figure stands at 114.9 Nm at 11,200 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed transmission. The superbike weighs 206 kgs and is available in KRT special edition paint scheme.

The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R comes with quick-shifter, traction control, engine brake control, intelligent ABS and balance free front forks. The braking system is supplied by Brembo while Ohlins supply the electronic steering damper for this model. Kawasaki uses 120-section front and 190-section rear tyre for optimum grip. The sports bike comes with 17-litre fuel tank capacity. 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R measures 2085mm in length, 740mm in width and 1145mm in height. The wheelbase measures 1440mm.

According to the reports, the pre-bookings for the superbike begun on April 26 and will remain open till May 30, 2019. The customers can pre-book the 2020 Ninja ZX-10R by paying a token amount of INR 1.50 lakh. The superbike still maintains its image of being the benchmark of an affordable locally assembled superbike in India.
