TVS Jupiter Grande Limited Edition Discontinued in India

TVS has discontinued the Jupiter Grande scooter in India which was initially launched in October 2018. The scooter was launched by the brand as a limited period edition. All the features of the Jupiter Grande edition except the cross-stitched seat and the diamond-cut alloy wheels are now available on the Jupiter ZX variant. The Jupiter Grande was launched in India with two variants on offer, disc and drum priced at INR 59,648 and INR 55,936 respectively.

One of the major differences that set the scooter apart from the standard versions were the addition to chrome inserts to the rear view mirrors as well as a cross-stitched brown seat. The TVS Jupiter Grande features an LED headlamp with LED DRLs and was equipped with an analogue instrument console. The replacement to the limited edition Jupiter Grande, the Jupiter ZX is powered by a 109cc engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 8 HP and 8.4 Nm of utmost torque. The engine is mated to a V-Matic gearbox.

The ZX variant can be availed in drum and disc variant priced at INR 56,093 and INR 58,645 respectively. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. It gets a 220mm disc brake at the front while the rear of the scooter features a 130mm drum brake. The scooter has been equipped with Synchronized Braking Technology (SBT), a semi-digital instrument panel and gets 12-inch wheels at either end.

The all-new ZX variant features LED headlight while the chrome inserts on the mirrors are only available for the disc variant. The TVS Jupiter ZX can be availed in the market in Starlight Blue and Royal Wine colours. In addition to this, the brand is also working on BSVI compliant TVS Jupiter to be launched in the year 2020. The TVS Jupiter scooter competes in the market with the likes of crowd favourite Honda Activa, Yamaha Fascino, and the Hero Maestro Edge.
