MV Agusta, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer has officially launched the Turismo Veloce 800 in India at a price tag of INR 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The sports tourer from MV Agusta gets a fine design language in addition to offering powerful performance.
The recently-launched MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 competes in the market with the likes of Ducati Multistrada 950 and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx. The motorcycle can be further operated in four riding modes. The customers can avail the Turismo Veloce 800 across every Kinetic Group’s Motoroyale showrooms across India.
The brand calls the motorcycle as “everyday F3”, getting the same authentic design bits from the Italian manufacturer to stand it apart from the rest of the sport-tourers available in the country. Powering the motorcycle is a 798cc 3-cylinder engine capable of churning out a maximum power of 110 HP at 10,150 rpm and a peak torque of 80 Nm at 7100 rpm.
The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a quick shift pattern. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a counter-rotating crankshaft that is responsible for making the motorcycle more agile by eliminating the gyroscopic effect on the wheels.
The motorcycle gets a steel trellis frame in addition to getting an 8-level traction control system and rear-wheel lift-up mitigation. One of the best traits of the motorcycle is its authentic MV Agusta inspired styling with a floating pillion seat that is bound to make heads turn.
The suspension duties for the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 are handled by 43mm Marzocchi USD forks at the front while the rear features a Sachs monoshock. The motorcycle gets Brembo 320mm twin disc brakes with four-piston callipers at the front and a single 220mm disc brake at the rear.
The all-black frame of the motorcycle is accentuated by 17-inch alloy wheels at either end. In the international markets, the brand offers the Turismo Veloce 800 in four variants including the standard variant that has been launched in India.
