The recent reports have brought out some good news for the KTM enthusiasts. The reports suggest that the brand is all set to focus on bringing out a 250cc variant of the KTM Adventure and it will be one of the most affordable variants of the adventure motorcycle series. The motorcycle is expected to be christened as KTM 250 Adventure while getting similar traits as that of its elder sibling 390 Adventure which is eagerly anticipated by the fans across the country.
Taking the styling cues from the KTM 390 Adventure, the upcoming 250cc motorcycle will feature the same premium bits though, the brand will be differentiating the two based on cost factors. As the name suggests, the brand will be equipping the KTM 250 Adventure with a 250cc engine. The front fascia of the motorcycle is highly expected to feature a halogen bulb-powered headlight in place of the LED unit. The brand is likely to take the same route they took with the styling of the 250 Duke in comparison to the 390 Duke.
In addition to this, the fully-coloured digital instrument panel seen on the 390 Adventure will be given a miss for its younger 250cc sibling. The reports also suggest that KTM will be replacing the Continental tyres used in 390 Adventure with cheaper tyres for the 250cc variant though the front and rear wheel specifications will remain as that of the 390 Adventure.
The motorcycle is expected to get the same engine specifications as that of KTM 250 Duke though the brand will be launching the machine with a BS6-compliant engine that might tweak the power and torque figures. The BS4-compliant engine of the KTM 250 Duke, for instance, generates a total power of 30HP and 24Nm of maximum torque.
As per the latest buzz, the KTM 250 Adventure will be officially showcased at the upcoming EICMA 2019 along with the KTM 390 Adventure. The brand will be launching the latter before the end of 2019 while the 250 Adventure is expected to launch in India next year. We expect the 390 Adventure to be priced around INR 3 lakh while the affordable 250cc sibling will get a lesser though competitive price tag.
