KTM 250 Adventure Officially Revealed; India Launch Soon

The much-awaited KTM 250 Adventure has been recently revealed by the brand in a set of official photos. The speculations of the Austrian brand unveiling it at the EICMA 2019 turned out to be false considering the fact that the adventure motorcycle has been made only for the developing countries like India, and at present, the brand has no plans to launch it in the European markets.

Coming to the design language, the off-road motorcycle features the same traits as that of its elder 390cc sibling though getting an affordable price tag. The use of a halogen headlight setup mated to LED DRLs sets the KTM 250 Adventure apart from the 390 Adventure, which has been equipped with an all-LED headlight.

Powering the 250 Adventure is a 248.8cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 30HP and a peak torque of 24Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The suspension duties are handled by 43mm inverted forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with a monoshock unit.

The KTM 250 Adventure features a 320mm disc brake with a four-piston radial calliper at the front and a 230mm disc brake with a single-piston calliper at the rear end. The adventure motorcycle is equipped with MRF Mogrip Meteor-FM2 dual-purpose tyres. The ground clearance and seat height of the motorcycle stand at 200mm and 855mm respectively.

The brand has skipped the ride-by-wire technology as well as traction control for the 250 Adventure to keep the cost in check though, the disengagable off-road ABS mode still exists. Like the 390 Adventure, the 250cc model is also equipped with a coloured TFT instrument console.
