As we reported earlier that KTM’s all-new adventure motorcycle – the 390 Adventure will be launched in the Indian market this week, now it has been officially confirmed that the bike will launch on Friday, 6th December 2019 while the deliveries of the adventure motorcycle are expected to start in January 2020. Talking about the looks of the KTM 390 Adventure, it draws its inspiration from the 790 Adventure in terms of the overall design profile.
The mechanical specifications of the bike include 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is powerful enough to churn out 44HP of maximum power and 37Nm of peak torque. The engine delivers performance by working in combination with a 6-speed gearbox.
There were several reports claiming that the brand will tune its engine differentially in order to make the bike more adventure-specific but none of such attempts has been made by KTM to change the power and torque figures.
The KTM 390 Adventure comes packed with a 100/90-19 front tyre and a 130/80-17 rear tyre. In order to provide the bike with an authentic adventure look, the brand has equipped it with a wide and high seat while the distance between the tyre and rear seat confirms extended suspension travel on the brand’s latest adventure motorcycle. It is also worth noting that the 390 Adventure has an ample amount of ground clearance, which stands at 200mm whereas the seat height of the motorcycle is quite high at 855mm and the fuel tank capacity is 14.5-litres.
Trying to draw parallels between the features of the 390 Duke and KTM 390 Adventure, we found out that the latter is also equipped with an all-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. The braking duties of the motorcycle are handled by a 320mm front disc brake and a 230mm rear disc brake. The 390 Adventure is expected to get a premium of around INR 30,000 to INR 40,000 when compared to KTM Duke 390, which is currently available in the Indian market for INR 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom).
