The 2020 Honda CBR150R has been officially launched in Indonesia with a starting on-road price tag of Rp 34,934,000 (INR 1.81 lakh, approximate). In terms of looks, the 150cc sportbike remains more or less similar to the 2019 model except for the three new colour schemes namely Dominator Matte Black, Matte Black, and Victory Black Red.
In addition to these three updated colours, the 2020 Honda CBR150R continues to be available in Honda Racing Red and MotoGP Edition. Some of the key design elements of the motorcycle include an impressive windscreen, a sharp front headlight design, a balanced fairing, a split seat, and a black exhaust. The CBR150R MotoGP Edition features orange alloy wheels while all other shades feature black wheels as standard.
The ABS ring is clearly visible on the front brake, with Honda using the ABS sticker on the front fender for further confirmation. The 149cc, single-cylinder engine on the bike is good for 17.1HP of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 14.4Nm of peak torque at 7000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The 2020 model of the sportbike continues to feature an all-digital instrument console.
The motorcycle also features emergency brake warning system which activates hazard lights in tough situations. The launch of the CBR150R in India will pose a direct threat to Yamaha R15 V3, which has stayed the undisputed king in the fully-faired 150cc segment from the first day of its launch. In case Honda plans to launch the CBR150R in the Indian market, the ex-showroom price of the motorcycle is expected to stay around INR 1.50 lakh.
