According to the ongoing rumours, iPhone SE 2, the successor to the iPhone SE budget smartphone is expected to be launched in the coming months. Though everyone considered the upcoming affordable iPhone from the brand to feature an iPhone 11-inspired design language, the recently released renders of the phone confirm it to be based on the iPhone 8 after all.
People are already calling the upcoming iPhone SE 2 as iPhone 9 though we are sure it will not be christened as that. The renders reveal the budget iPhone with an LCD screen while the 3D touch has been given a miss for the next-gen version.
In addition to this, the rumours also suggest the iPhone SE 2 to be available to the customers in black, white as well as red colour variants. It has been speculated that the device will feature a 4.7-inch Retina HD notch-less display with a pixel ratio of 1334×750 pixels. The device is expected to be powered by Apple A13 Bionic SoC with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone will be available with two internal storage options: 64GB and 128GB.
Coming to the camera specifications, the upcoming budget phone from Apple will be equipped with a single 12MP rear camera setup with f/1.8 aperture. The camera setup is expected to feature a new design while getting an additional portrait mode and optical image stabilization for better shots. The iPhone SE 2 is expected to get a 7MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture. The rear of the device is expected to feature an Apple logo which will be repositioned.
Since the design is inspired by the iPhone 8, the upcoming successor to the iPhone SE will feature a dedicated home button. There has been no official confirmation regarding the rumoured specs of the upcoming iPhone SE 2 though one can expect more news to follow soon.
