Ahead of the official launch, the ex-showroom price of the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has surfaced online. According to a recent report by Bikewale, the BS6-compliant model of the RS200 will launch with a price tag of INR 1.44 lakh, which is approximately INR 3,000 higher when compared to the BS4 model that is available for INR 1.41 lakh (ex-showroom), till the stock lasts.
The report further states that the updated BS6 model of the Pulsar RS200 will come equipped with a 2-channel ABS unit as standard. In comparison, the BS4 model is equipped with a single-channel ABS unit.
As far as the launch is concerned, the BS6 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will go on sale in the next couple of weeks. Since the motorcycle is already equipped with a fuel-injected engine in its BS4 avatar, the updated variant of the motorcycle will be imparted with minor mechanical changes to comply with the upcoming BS6 emission norms that will be applicable in India from April 1, 2020.
Coming to the cosmetic changes, the BS6 model of the Pulsar RS200 is expected to be updated with minimally revised graphics. In addition to this, the brand is also expected to offer the BS6 variant of the motorcycle in new colour schemes. As of now, there has been no detailed information received on the 2020 colour palette for the BS6-compliant Pulsar RS200.
Apart from the new graphics and colours, the BS6 variant of the RS200 will remain exactly the same as the BS4 version and will feature a projector headlight setup mated to unique LED DRLs at the front. The rear profile of the sports motorcycle will also remain the same and feature the similar tail light unit.
Coming to the mechanical changes, the motorcycle will feature an updated catalytic converter and an O2 sensor to comply with the BS6 emission norms. The 199.5cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine will now be BS6-compliant while the power and torque values are expected to be tweaked a bit when compared to the 24.5HP and 18.6Nm offered by the BS4 version. The engine will remain mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
