The Auto Expo Component 2020, the event held in parallel to the Auto Expo 2020 witnessed the revealing of the Hero XPulse 200T Police Edition by the most famous beacon light manufacturers in the country, Sholphin India. The customized motorcycle from the brand has been able to gather a lot of attention from the viewers considering its unique styling that has made the otherwise uninteresting product look quite compelling.
The modified XPulse unit has been equipped with a red/blue beacon lights at the front just below the indicators while the rear has also been equipped with the same though positioned above the rear indicators. In addition to this, the crash guard of the customized police motorcycle has been equipped with an additional auxiliary LED light.
Apart from this, the Hero XPulse 200T Police Edition has been equipped with a larger windscreen at the front with POLICE written on top while the same graphic detailing has been offered to the front mudguard. Sholphin India has further offered the motorcycle a triple storage compartment at either side as well as the rear while a pillion backrest has also been added.
In addition to this, the customized police motorcycle also features aftermarket panniers adding to the functionality. The motorcycle in its BS4 avatar is available to the customers in Candy Red, Black, Matte Gold and Matte Grey colour schemes while Sholphin India has only made use of the Matte Grey colour variant for realising the customized motorcycle for the police force in India.
Apart from the addition of several necessary features for a police motorcycle, the Hero XPulse 200T Police Edition has been kept mechanically altered. Powering the motorcycle is the same 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that is capable of offering maximum power of 18.4HP and a peak torque of 17.1Nm. The BS4-compliant engine on the motorcycle is mated to a 5-speed transmission. The overall profile of the customized motorcycle looks out of the ordinary and would be a perfect choice for the police force to make it available to the troops.
