Honda Removes 13 Two-Wheelers from its Official Website

According to the latest reports, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially removed 13 two-wheelers from its portfolio. The brand was one of the first automotive brands in India that led the game with the launch of BS6-compliant products, though major products under its portfolio are left to be updated with BS6-compliant engines.

As the BS6 emission norms are now valid in the country since April 1, 2020, the brand has only three scooters and three motorcycles under its portfolio that comply with the latest emission norms while a long list of products is yet to be updated.

For the time being, the brand has officially removed thirteen BS4-compliant products from its official website though it is expected that Honda will bring back some of the 2-wheelers with BS6-compliant engines in the coming months. There has been no official confirmation on what products would be receiving the BS6 upgrade as the brand has halted every operation at its dealerships and factories due to the nationwide lockdown to curb the coronavirus pandemic.

The scooters which have been updated with a BS6-compliant engine includes the likes of Honda Activa 6G, Activa 125, and Dio while the motorcycles with a BS6 engine now includes 2020 Honda Unicorn, Honda Shine 125 and Honda SP125.
