India-Spec 300cc Honda Cruiser Motorcycle to Launch as H’Ness

According to one of the recent media reports, the upcoming 300cc Honda cruiser motorcycle will be launched as H’Ness (short for Highness) in the Indian markets. Previously, it was being expected that Honda would be using the ‘Rebel’ nameplate for the India-spec 300cc cruiser motorcycle. The Japanese brand has recently also trademarked the ‘H’Ness’ nameplate and has also released a 10-second teaser video ahead of the official launch on 30th September. As per the latest exhaust sound teaser video released by Honda 2-Wheelers India, it is now confirmed that the upcoming product is a single-cylinder cruiser motorcycle and it would be competing with the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350 series and the Jawa Classic 300. In terms of pricing, the upcoming bike would be priced somewhere around INR 2 lakhs (ex-showroom), and it would be retailed through the Honda Big Wing chain of dealerships.

Mechanically, the Honda H’Ness cruiser motorcycle is expected to be powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which will be good for a maximum power of 30.4 HP along with a peak torque of 27.4 Nm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed transmission.

Expected to be based on the international-spec model of the Honda Rebel 300, the H’Ness is expected to come equipped with an all-LED headlight cluster, LED tail-light, retro round turn indicators, and an all-digital LCD instrument console.
