Suzuki 2-Wheelers recently launched a new colour variant of the Gixxer SF 250 in the Indian markets with an ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.77 lakhs. The Japanese brand has launched the ‘Triton Blue Silver’ colour combination to commemorate its 100th anniversary. This typical paint option is inspired by Suzuki GSX-RR MotoGP race bike of the 1960s.
In terms of looks, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 100th Anniversary Edition features a big Suzuki moniker on the fairing, along with an ‘Ecstar’ sticker just below it. The lower portion of the fairing, pillion grab rails, fuel tank, and the front end of the motorcycle has been painted in blue shade. The rest of the body panels have been offered a silver finishing. Mechanically, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 100th Anniversary Edition is powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine, which is BS6-compliant and produces 26.5HP of maximum power at 9300 rpm along with 22.2Nm of peak torque at 7300 rpm. In comparison to the BS4 variant, there is a 0.4Nm drop in the peak torque but now it comes in 200 rpm earlier.
The peak power of the bike, however, remains unchanged but it is now delivered 300 rpm later. Despite the upgrade to the BS6 emission norms, the weight of Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 remains the same at 161 kgs. In addition to the 100th Anniversary Edition, the 250cc sports bike is available in two more shades: Matte Metallic Black and Metallic Triton Blue (MotoGP Edition).
