Royal Enfield to Launch Classic 650, Super Meteor 650 and Bobber 650 in India

Royal Enfield has successfully managed to create a strong customer base in the 650cc motorcycle segment by posting impressive sales numbers every month as the brand’s 650 twins, Interceptor and Continental GT, are performing quite well in the Indian markets.

To cement its position further, and to boost the existing sales number, the company has decided to launch new products in the 650cc segment. As per the details available, the first product to be rolled out by the company would be a cruiser motorcycle and it will be launched as the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

In one of the spy videos over YouTube, three upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycles – Classic 650, Super Meteor 650 and Bobber 650 – were spotted testing and can be seen cruising comfortably at a speed of 120-130 kmph.

Like the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, the upcoming 650cc motorcycles will also come equipped with the brand’s Tripper Navigation system, and the riders would be able to connect their smartphone via Bluetooth to get turn-by-turn navigation details.

Just like the Classic 350, the Classic 650 also sports a retro design profile. The key features of the bike include a round headlamp, round rearview mirrors, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, classic turn indicators, a wide handlebar, a large windscreen, dual metallic exhausts, and a broad rear fender.

Mechanically, the upcoming 650cc Royal Enfield motorcycles will be powered by the same 648cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine, which also powers the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. It is good for a maximum power of 46.8 HP @ 7150 rpm along with a peak torque of 52 Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper and assist clutch as standard.
