New Suzuki WagonR Smile Official Photos and Colour Options

The Japanese carmaker Suzuki recently added a new WagonR Smile model to its Kei car portfolio in its home country. The new model is loaded with various interior and exterior updates, and now the brand has also revealed the official photos of the car including the colour options.

The new WagonR Smile made its market debut recently with the company aiming for a monthly sales figure of around 5,000 units. In terms of price, the Suzuki WagonR Smile costs between 1.29 million yen and 1.71 million yen (approx. Rs 8.11 – Rs 10.76 lakh). 

While talking about the design of the newly launched car, the Smile has an eccentric design language with a minivan appearance. The vehicle has sliding rear doors that facilitate passenger entries and exits. In addition, the Smile model is 45mm taller than the standard WagonR and also, and it has a completely different design from the standard variant. At the front, it gets rounded headlights with chrome trim and a chrome-studded radiator grille. The front fascia of the car is flat and erect, with rounded fog lights positioned low on the bumper.

Furthermore, on the inside of the WagonR Smile, it has a streamlined interior with a plethora of amenities and technology. It features a big touchscreen infotainment system in the centre, steering-mounted controls, a dual-tone dashboard, under-seat storage, an analogue instrument cluster with a tiny MID, and numerous seat upholstery options. Looking at the body dimensions, the minivan has a length of 3,395mm, a width of 1,475mm, and a height of 1,695mm. It has an overall body weight of 840kg with a 2460mm wheelbase and 150mm ground clearance.

As per the sources, the Suzuki WagonR Smile is claimed to be available in three models, each powered by the same 657cc three-cylinder engine. The engine is coupled with a basic CVT transmission and generates 47 BHP at 6500 rpm and 58 Nm at 5000 rpm. Suzuki provides all three versions in 2WD or 4WD configurations, with higher-spec trims using a hybrid engine. In terms of availability in India, as of now, Maruti has no plans to launch the new Suzuki WagonR Smile in the Indian market.
