Bajaj is about to restructure the company’s Pulsar lineup. This is reflected in the Pulsar F250, N250, and, more recently, the N160’s introduction. In India, Bajaj has registered new trademarks for the Pulsar Eleganz, Pulsar Elan, and Twinner. We have now got spy photos of the Pulsar N125 in testing with heavy camouflage. Two test mules were spotted testing in Alibaug, Maharashtra, thanks to Bhargav Mhatre.
We can assume it’s the Pulsar N125 based on the appearance. We say this because it appears to have a 125cc mill. This engine could be shared with the Pulsar 125 and NS125. The engine also appears to be only air-cooled, as there is no oil-cooling equipment installed on the motorcycle. We expect it to produce 11.6 bhp and 10.8 Nm of torque.
It resembles the recently launched Pulsar N160 and the larger N250 in appearance. As a result, the fuel tank and muscular shrouds appear to be identical to the proportions of the larger Pulsar N250, giving it a macho appearance. With twin LED tail lights, the tail section is reminiscent of the Pulsar N160 and N250. However, instead of the split unit found on the former, it gets an old-fashioned grab handle.
Other similarities include the same instrument cluster, projector headlight, LED DRLs, handlebars, turn indicators, mirrors, and a plethora of other features. Aside from a single-piece grab handle, the Pulsar N125 test mule has a single-piece seat, a small cowl above the instrument cluster, a rear drum brake, a skinny rear tyre, and a telescopic front suspension, and not much else.
The test rider appears to be in a neutral seating position. The rider’s footpegs appear to be centred. This will make an excellent rider’s triangle for both city commuting and the occasional highway cruise.
Bajaj Auto will announce the launch date in the coming months. Pricing information is not yet available, but the Pulsar N125 is expected to be released in 2023. We expect the Pulsar N125 to cost roughly the same as the NS125. It will compete with the Hero Glamour, Honda CB Shine, and TVS Raider when it is released.
