Wuling, a Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer, has released its latest motorcycle, the Serpol No. 1 cruiser. It has a nice appearance and good proportions, but the design is based on the Honda Rebel cruiser. Here’s what we know so far.
The round LED headlight on the Wuling Serpol is quite attractive, and it is complemented by a neat fairing around it. Also, the scooped seat, the slanted fuel tank, and the exposed rear fender are all reminiscent of the Honda Rebel cruiser. It gets a two-in-one exhaust system with a chrome pipe. Wuling sells the bike in two colours: black and white.
The new Chinese cruiser is powered by a Loncin 494cc parallel-twin engine with a 54 bhp output. It’s mated to a six-speed transmission and is housed in a double cradle frame. The Serpol appears to be a carbon copy of the Honda cruiser. It has telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, as well as J.Juan braking hardware with a single front and rear disc with ABS. The setup is built on spoked wheels with road-biased tyres.
Wuling has currently launched the bike in China but has not disclosed pricing. It also plans to enter the European market in the near future, but it is unlikely to enter the Indian market. If you want a cruiser, there are several options. It includes the Benelli 502C, Kawasaki Vulcan 650, Meteor 350, and Super Meteor 650.
