The new Harley 420cc bike sports a crisp profile, equal to RE 650 twins, and is expected to be a 400+ cc bike. It stands out from the fleshier 350cc bikes like the Classic 350 and CB350.
Harley-Davidson may be attempting to avoid a direct confrontation with the RE motorcycles. Instead, the goal could be to target people who desire a more nimble machine for their daily trips. Even Royal Enfield has a smaller Hunter 350, which has become the second-best-selling RE motorcycle.
A round LED headlamp, vertical LED DRL, and circular rear view mirrors, a contoured fuel tank, slim seat, sturdy engine guard, upswept exhaust and a compact tail section are some of the primary elements of the upcoming Harley-Davidson bike. With centre-set foot pegs and a large, ergonomic handlebar, the riding attitude appears to be comfortable. The new Harley-Davidson uses a digital instrument console, which could be TFT or LCD.
Harley-Davidson’s new 420cc motorcycle is equipped with USD forks up front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers in the rear. While a mono-shock might have been employed, the two shocks appear far more sophisticated. The bike is outfitted with dual-tone alloy wheels and Bybre disc brakes on both ends. ABS with dual channels is likely to be standard. Front and rear wheels are fitted with 100 and 140-section CEAT Zoom Cruz tyres.
A new air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine will power Harley’s next bike. The HD 4XX inscription on the licence plate most likely signifies a 400cc+ motorcycle. It’s most likely a 420cc machine, while the bike appears to be production ready, as seen in spy images.
While there is no official release date, the motorcycle is likely to be available in the following months. The holiday season will most likely be the finest time for the Harley 420cc to be released. Harley-Davidson might price the upcoming bike at around Rs 2.50 lakh.
