Simple One Premium Electric Scooter Relaunched in India at Rs. 1.45 lakh

Simple Energy, an electric vehicle startup located in Bangalore, has relaunched its flagship electric scooter. The Simple One has a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

The Simple One was first unveiled in 2021, and it was one of the most anticipated electric scooters in India. But the launch was delayed due to many factors, including the ongoing chip shortage.

The Simple One is powered by a 5 kWh battery that offers a claimed range of 212 km on a single charge. It is equipped with a 4.5 kW electric motor that can propel the scooter from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.95 seconds.

The Simple brand is offering the One e-scooter with a host of features. It includes a 7-inch touchscreen instrument cluster and a reverse mode. It also comes with a mobile app that allows users to control various aspects of the scooter. The Simple offers the One with four riding modes: Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic.

The Simple One is available in four single-tone colours: black, red, blue, and white. The two dual-tone colours: white and black with red alloy wheels and accents are also available. Dual-tone colours are Rs 5,000 more expensive than single-tone paint alternatives, costing Rs 1.50 lakh.

Simple Energy has already received over 1 lakh pre-bookings for the Simple One. Simple Energy has said that it will start deliveries of the Simple One in June 2023. The scooter will be available in over 50 cities across India.

The re-launch of the Simple One is a significant development in the Indian electric vehicle market. The Simple One is likely to face stiff competition from other electric scooters, such as the Ola S1 Pro and the Ather 450X. The Simple One is a powerful and feature-rich electric scooter that is likely to be a popular choice among Indian buyers.
