New Maruti Suzuki Jimny Price List in India – Zeta, Alpha, MT, AT

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the 5-Door model of the Jimny compact SUV in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price tag of Rs 12.74 lakh, while the top-spec Alpha trim is priced at Rs 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The five-door Suzuki Jimny, which was developed specifically for the Indian market, will be produced at Maruti’s Gurugram plant and exported to other markets. India is the first country to receive the five-door version of the Jimny. The Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 105 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. Maruti offers the Jimny with a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Jimny is different from the rest of Maruti’s lineup in India, which uses the newer K15C engine. The Jimny uses the older K15B engine. Maruti claims that the manual variant gets 16.94 kilometres per litre, while the automatic variant gets 16.39 kilometres per litre.

Jimny’s signature design features are all present on the India-spec model. Maruti has equipped the Jimny 5-door with 15-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped with 195/80 tyres. The Jimny is a capable off-roader thanks to its Suzuki AllGrip Pro 4WD system, manual transfer case, low-range gearbox, and rugged ladder-frame chassis. It also has a 3-link rigid axle suspension and an electronic traction control system. The Jimny 5-door has a ground clearance of 210mm, which allows it to tackle even the most challenging terrain.

The Jimny’s top-of-the-line Alpha trim is loaded with features, including automatic LED headlights, a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry and start, and a suite of safety features including six airbags, ESP, and hill-hold assist.

The Jimny is available in seven colours, two of which are dual-tone. Despite having five doors, the Jimny is still only a four-seater. The Jimny is a new off-road SUV that joins a growing segment in India. It is not a direct rival to the Mahindra Thar or Force Gurkha, but it will compete with them for price and positioning. The Jimny offers good off-road capability. It is likely to appeal to buyers who are looking for a rugged and capable SUV without spending a lot of money.
