OLA to Launch 6 New Electric 2-Wheelers in India Next Month – Report

Ola Electric is all set to make a big announcement on Independence Day. The company, which launched its first electric scooter, the S1, on August 15, 2021, is expected to unveil 6 new models on the same date this year.

Sources say that Ola could launch new scooters or even motorcycles. The company is currently working on many zero-emission vehicles, including electric cars. Bhavish Aggarwal, CEO of Ola Electric, has been actively teasing motorcycles on his Twitter handle. He was also spotted on a test track recently, which suggests that the company is working on a motorcycle.

The announcement on August 15 will be a major event for Ola Electric. The company is looking to expand its product portfolio and become a major player in the electric vehicle market. In February 2023, Ola teased five new electric motorcycles. Some of these motorcycles could be previewed in their production form at an upcoming event.

Ola is working on a variety of new motorcycles in various segments. It includes commuter, adventure tourer, cruiser, sports bike, and neo-retro. The company is likely to focus on the premium motorcycle space with its upcoming electric models. These new motorcycles could be accompanied by a brand-new scooter at the launch event. This would give customers more options to choose from as Ola expands its footprint to appeal to a wider range of audiences.

The Ola S1 range of electric scooters was updated earlier this year with a new 2 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 91 km. The scooter is powered by an 8.5 kW electric motor that can propel it to a top speed of 90 km/h. The top-spec 3 kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of 141 km.

The Ola S1 range is currently the best-selling electric scooter in India. The scooters have been well-received by customers, and the recent price drops have made them even more appealing. With a 4 kWh battery pack, the top-of-the-line S1 Pro model is capable of a top speed of 116 km/h and a claimed range of 181 km.
