Honda CBR250RR-R In The Making – Here Are The Details

Honda Motorcycles Indonesia recently updated its CBR250RR lineup by introducing the SP trim and as per the latest details available, the brand is also planning to launch the CBR250RR-R soon. The CBR250RR SP is powered by a 249cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that produces 42 hp of maximum power and 25 Nm of peak torque. A 6-speed transmission with a quick-shifter is coupled to the engine.

An inline 4-cylinder engine would be powering the upcoming CBR250RR-R sportbike and it is expected to produce a max output of 55 bhp along with around 30 Nm of peak torque. The engine would be mated to a 6-speed transmission system with a quickshifter. Like the RR variants, the RR-R model will also feature a full TFT display, LED lights, USD front forks, and a single disc brake at each end, mated to a dual-channel ABS unit.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has no plans to introduce either of these models in India. This is because, if launched, the CBR250RR and CBR250RR-R will be priced out of reach for most Indian buyers. But a few other 300cc-400cc twin-cylinder bikes are available in India. These include the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Ninja 400, and the upcoming Aprilia RS 440 and Yamaha YZF-R3.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is priced at Rs 3.43 lakhs, while the Ninja 400 is priced at Rs 5.19 lakhs. The Aprilia RS 440 is expected to be priced at around Rs 4 lakhs, while the 2024 Yamaha YZF-R3 is expected to be priced at around Rs 3.75 lakhs. All of these bikes offer good performance and handling, and they are sure to appeal to a wide range of riders.
