Kawasaki’s Ninja Lineup Celebrates 40th Anniversary with a Touch of 90s Nostalgia

Japanese bike manufacturers are indulging in a wave of nostalgia, with Yamaha unveiling the XSR900 GP, a neo-retro sports bike paying homage to their 80s and 90s GP bikes. Now, Kawasaki is joining the trend by introducing 40th Anniversary Edition models for its Ninja lineup, featuring the iconic livery of the Ninja ZX-7R from the 1990s.

In the history of racing motorcycles, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-7R holds a special place. It had remarkable success in a number of competitions most notably the WorldSBK Championship, and its eye-catching livery of green, white, and blue has endured as a lasting reminder of that time period. Kawasaki has decorated four of its Ninja models—the ZX-4RR, ZX-6R, ZX-10R, and ZX-14R—with the same recognizable livery as a tribute to this heritage.

The paint scheme on these anniversary models is an exact replica of the original, right down to the font used for the brand and model names. Each of these special Ninjas features a distinctive ’40th Anniversary’ emblem placed on the fuel tank, lime green wheels, and a silver frame and swingarm.

While these 40th Anniversary Edition models of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR, ZX-6R, ZX-10R, and ZX-14R may evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration among enthusiasts, the possibility of them being made available in India remains quite low.

These unique motorcycles are priced at, 299 for the ZX-4RR, 649 for the ZX-6R,149 for the ZX-10R, and 249 for the ZX-14R. It is important to note that these prices are specific to the U.S. market, and availability in other regions may vary.
