TVS Apache RTX Trademarked – Adventure Bike Based on G310 GS?

With the release of the Apache RTX, TVS plans to launch a new bike that will make a big splash in the rapidly expanding adventure motorbike market. This motorcycle will be based on the 310cc platform, which is currently used by both TVS and BMW for various models, including the Apache RR310, RTR310, and BMW G310R, G310RR, and G310GS.

What to Expect from the TVS Apache RTX?

Staying true to the design language of the Apache series, the upcoming RTX adventure bike will boast an aggressive profile. Some standout features include a dominant front fascia, an LED headlight with integrated LED DRL, gold-finished USD forks, an elevated front beak, a compact windscreen, layered shoulder panels, a sculpted fuel tank, an exposed frame in a contrasting color, an upswept exhaust, and a rear rack.

The Apache RTX will be available in a range of exciting color themes. It will also feature a full digital instrument cluster with a comprehensive array of display items. Riders will have the ability to connect their smartphones via Bluetooth to access a wide range of features and functions through the TVS SmartXonnect connectivity suite and this app will provide access to telemetry and data allowing users to analyze trip details and riding styles.

Performance of the TVS Apache RTX

Powering the TVS Apache RTX is a 313cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine. It delivers 34 hp of peak power and 28 Nm of maximum torque, paired with a constant mesh 6-speed gearbox. Comparable to the BMW G310GS, which has a top speed of 143 kmph, the Apache RTX is expected to achieve similar numbers. Fuel efficiency is estimated to be around 28 kmpl.

Equipment and Dimensions

The TVS Apache RTX is expected to share several components with the BMW G310GS, including a tubular space frame, 41mm USD forks, cast aluminum dual swingarm, mono-shock rear suspension, 300 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes, and dual-channel ABS and the bike will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The overall dimensions of the RTX will closely resemble those of the BMW G310GS, which measures 2,075 mm in length, 880 mm in width, and 1,230 mm in height, with a seat height of 835 mm.

Accessories and Launch

In line with other Apache models, the new RTX adventure bike is expected to come with a range of accessories. Adventure-related add-ons could include options for low and high seats based on the rider’s height, a top case, heated grips, and a 12V socket. Since the platform is already established, TVS is likely to launch the new Apache RTX adventure bike relatively quickly. The trademarked name is listed as ‘Accepted & Advertised,’ indicating that it is one step away from official approval. The TVS Apache RTX is expected to be priced starting at around Rs 3 lakh to 3.5 lakh.
