Kawasaki Z900: A Price Hike

In a recent update, Kawasaki India has opted to increase the price of their popular Z900 motorcycle. This adjustment sees the 2024 model now priced at Rs 9,29,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), marking a Rs 9,000 increase from its previous price point. Despite this adjustment, the Z900 remains an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts in the market for a high-performance naked bike.

Unchanged Power and Performance

One of the key aspects of the Z900 that remains unchanged is its formidable power and performance. The motorcycle retains its impressive liquid-cooled 948cc inline four-cylinder engine, capable of delivering 125PS of power and 98.6Nm of torque. This powerplant is paired with a smooth six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, ensuring a thrilling riding experience for enthusiasts.

Furthermore, Kawasaki has maintained all the mechanical parts, features, hardware, and components from the 2023 model, ensuring continuity and reliability for riders who opt for the latest iteration of the Z900.

Feature-rich Design

The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 comes equipped with a range of features aimed at enhancing the riding experience. A standout feature is the color TFT display, which not only provides essential information but also offers smartphone connectivity for added convenience. Additionally, the motorcycle boasts all-LED lighting, providing superior visibility and enhancing its overall aesthetic appeal.

Riders will also appreciate the inclusion of three-mode traction control and three riding modes: Sport, Road, and Rain. For those who prefer a more personalized experience, the Rider mode offers manual settings, allowing riders to tailor the bike’s performance to their preferences. With a generous 17-litre fuel tank, the Z900 is ready for long rides without frequent refueling stops.

Advanced Suspension and Braking

The Z900’s chassis and suspension setup further contribute to its exceptional performance and handling capabilities. Built on a sturdy trellis frame, the motorcycle features an inverted fork with 120mm of wheel travel and a horizontal back-link monoshock with 140mm of wheel travel. Both components offer rebound damping and spring preload adjustability, allowing riders to fine-tune the bike’s suspension to suit their riding style and preferences.

Braking performance is equally impressive, due to dual 300mm petal discs at the front and a single 250mm petal disc at the rear, complemented by dual-channel ABS. The Z900 rides on wide tires, with a 120-section tire up front and a 180-section tire at the rear, providing excellent grip and stability in various riding conditions.

Competing with the Best

The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 faces stiff competition in the market, going head-to-head with renowned models such as the Triumph Street Triple 765, Ducati Monster, and BMW F900R. Despite the recent price hike, the Z900 continues to offer excellent value for money, considering its performance, features, and overall capabilities. Moreover, when compared to its rivals, the Z900 maintains a competitive edge, making it a compelling choice for discerning riders.
