The taillights have also been tweaked, and the SUV rides on new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Interior and Features
Inside, the Taisor boasts dual-tone brown and black upholstery. It comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, auto climate control, a 360-degree camera, a heads-up display, a wireless charger, and smartwatch connectivity. Safety features include six airbags, an electronic stability program (ESP), a hill-hold assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.
Powertrains
Powering the Urban Cruiser Taisor are the same engines as the Fronx: a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 90hp and 113Nm of torque, and a 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The NA engine can be paired with a 5-speed manual or an optional AMT, while the turbo petrol engine is available with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Toyota also offers a CNG option with the NA engine.
Rivals
The Urban Cruiser Taisor competes directly with the Maruti Fronx and faces competition from other compact SUVs such as the Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, and the upcoming Mahindra XUV300 update.
