At first glance, changes to the Wrangler facelift might seem minimal, but a closer inspection reveals notable tweaks. The SUV now features an all-black grille and fresh alloy wheel designs—17-inch options for the Rubicon and 18-inch for the Unlimited variant. Additionally, Jeep has upgraded the vehicle with a Gorilla glass windshield as a standard feature and expanded the color palette, previously comprising Bright White, Sting Grey, Granite Crystal, Black, and Firecracker Red.

Interior and Feature Enhancements

The Wrangler’s interior retains much of its previous layout and equipment but introduces a significant upgrade with a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, replacing the older 8.4-inch model. This upgrade involves the Uconnect 5 operating system and reshapes the dashboard with slimmer central air vents positioned below the screen. Enhancements in convenience include 12-way power-adjustable front seats and the integration of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Safety and Off-road Capabilities

The facelifted Wrangler maintains its robust safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, electronic roll mitigation, automatic headlamps, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear sensors with a camera. Off-road prowess is ensured with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 270hp and 400Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s Selec-Trac full-time 4WD system.

Pricing and Market Position

The current pricing for the Wrangler models—Unlimited and Rubicon—stands at Rs 62.65 lakh and Rs 66.65 lakh, respectively. With the new updates, a slight price increase is anticipated. While the Wrangler doesn’t face direct competition in its segment, the Land Rover Defender 110, priced between Rs 97 lakh and Rs 2.35 crore, serves as its closest rival in the premium off-road category.
