Kawasaki Z900 was recently launched in Indonesia for IDR 225 million (INR 11.23 lakh). A worthy replacement for Z800, the new Kawasaki Z900 is lighter, stronger and years ahead from the figures claimed by the older model. The 948cc, four-cylinder motor on the Z900 is good for 125 PS at 9500 rpm and 98.6 Nm at 7700 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox and carries slipper clutch for easier operations.

The surprising fact for the bike is that it is 21 kg lighter than Kawasaki Z800. This makes it much more effective on everyday roads and not just that, provide it with much more aggression on closed tracks. The multiple identity of the motorcycle can be judged through its touring friendly behavior, carrying options like 14 liter panniers and 30 liter top box for enhanced comfort through optional Kawasaki accessories.
Kawasaki Z900 comes with 41 mm upside down forks and rear monoshock with adjustable preload and rebound. The Indian launch is still pending while Kawasaki is expected to place the same in INR 9 lakh ex-showroom slot. Z900 will rival none other than Ducati Monster 821, Benelli TNT 899 and Yamaha MT-09 in its segment. It is a perfect option for those who are looking for a balance between practicality and performance.
