Honda CBR650R vs Honda CBR650F (Quick Comparison): Honda CBR650F was one of the most powerful motorcycles of its segment, claiming class-leading performance due to the aerodynamic body and impressive power output. The 2019 Honda CBR650R is based on the same machine, bringing more than just visual differences for the best-ever riding experience.
The new model comes with dual LED headlights, lighter fairing and numerous other changes to its body. The engine is now good for 87.2 HP of maximum power at 11,500 rpm. Honda CBR650F is heavier by 6 kgs, resulting in a better power-to-weight ratio for the 2019 CBR650R. The new model is also equipped with a better and bigger all-digital instrument console.
The steel diamond frame on the CBR650R, along with the exposed body and new fuel tank, offers better grip and control over the machine. The tyres remain similar to the CBR650F while the torque has gone down by 0.4 Nm. Honda is using 310mm dual disc brakes on the new CBR650R while the CBR650F was available with dual 320mm disc brakes.
One of the major changes is that the 650R model is equipped with Showa Upside Down (USD) front forks in comparison to the 650F’s conventional telescopic forks. The marginal increase in the overall length is seen due to the new front fairing design while other values remain more or less similar to the CBR650F. The price has gone up by INR 32,000 for the 2019 CBR650R.
