Suzuki GSX-S750 vs Kawasaki Z900: Suzuki launched the much-awaited GSX-S750 in India earlier this year for INR 7.45 lakh. This helped them undercut their strict rival, Kawasaki Z900, by impressive INR 23,000. For buyers of premium middleweight segment bikes, nothing could get better than this deal as Triumph took the pricing on the higher side at INR 9.19 lakh for their Street Triple. Confused between Suzuki GSX-S750 and Kawasaki Z900? These points can help you select the best street fighter under INR 8 lakh.
Suzuki GSX-S750 comes with a powerful 749cc, 4-cylinder engine. This offers 114 HP at 10500 rpm and 81 Nm at 9000 rpm. Add displacement equal to Pulsar NS200 to this package and you get the 948cc, 4-cylinder Z900. The motorcycle is good for 125 HP at 9500 rpm and 98.6 Nm at 7500 rpm. The engine definitely favours Z900 here but it’s purely on the buyers if so much power is required in the real world, that too without considering features, our next important point.
Z900 is pure power and controlling that feels like an art for amateur riders. It lacks the use of traction control, a basic safety feature for riders that helps on different sort of surfaces. It only comes with dual channel ABS. On the other hand, buyers of Suzuki GSX-S750 get switchable traction control system along with ABS. This three setting system can be switched off if the rider wants to enjoy all the power in a most aggressive way.

GSX-S750 produces power at much higher rpms than Z900, making it better for riders who love revving their bike is smaller gear for that adrenaline rush. Kawasaki Z900 has loads of power and most of that is available in commuter friendly range for ease of street riding. Also, the smaller GSX-S750 weighs more than Z900. Less power and more weight means it won’t clearly win in a straight road challenge but added electronic features definitely help it during difficult times on twisted roads.
Suzuki GSX-750 is priced at INR 7.45 lakh and Kawasaki Z900 is available for INR 7.68 lakh. Both these prices are ex-showroom.
