Quick Comparison: Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 vs Gixxer SF 250

Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 vs Gixxer SF 250 (Quick Comparison): The recently launched Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 and SF 250 may fall in two different segments but in actual terms, they are based on the same platform with a limited number of differences that can attract more buyers for the affordable version.

The Gixxer SF 250 is using an oil-cooled engine with 26.5 HP of output while the SF 150 is available with an air-cooled engine and 14.1 HP of maximum power. When equating the weight gap of just 15kg, the high power output of SF 250 makes it a great option for performance lovers. The headlight, taillight, instrument console, and the fuel tank design remains similar on both the models.

On the other hand, the tire section is different on both the bikes, with Gixxer SF 250 getting wider tires and better disc brakes than the smaller model. The alloy wheel design is also different as Suzuki retained the old design on the SF 150. As far as the ABS is concerned, the SF 150 is equipped with a 1-channel ABS unit while the SF 250 comes with a 2-channel ABS unit.

The most powerful option in the quarter-litre segment is KTM Duke 250 with 30 HP of output and thus, 26.5 HP feels decent in comparison to the indirect rival. Suzuki will definitely offer a naked version of the SF 250 and one can clearly assume the high current-gen price tag to justify the placement of their streetfighter.

The Gixxer SF 150 is available for INR 1.10 lakh while the SF 250 can be bought for INR 1.71 lakh. The prices mentioned here ex-showroom Delhi. Another visual difference between both the full-faired sportbikes is the exhaust finish, keeping a different design for the dual exhaust exits for exclusivity.

The side fairing is very neat and see-through space is limited on the 250cc, along with the golden engine cover in comparison to the black one on SF 150. As both the bikes are available in two shades (Silver and Black), finding the difference is very hard in black colour option. However, the silver shade comes with a black fender for the 150cc model and a body-coloured fender for the 250cc Gixxer SF.
