Yamaha RX Fleet recently restored this 2003 Yamaha RX135 and brought back the full glory associated with the model. The total cost of restoration was INR 23,000 and every single part now speaks for itself after the applaudable work. The fuel tank and side panels are painted in the black shade while Yamaha and RX135 monikers are seen on the places where they were originally seen in 2003.
The golden highlight on the fuel tank looks elegant while a bright stripe runs right under the same for a premium feel. The front and rear fenders are entirely chrome while suspension setup at the front features chrome headlight-holder and silver-finished lower section.
The alloy wheels were not available as standard on the motorcycle but, the 3-spoke design was very popular from 2005-2010. The same design was favoured by most Royal Enfield owners, with some even going for the two-spoke design with massive curved attachments.
The motorcycle is already seen with a leg guard and fully-restored engine section that looks next to new with the intense detailing effort by the Yamaha RX Fleet. The rear comes with black springs and chrome covers like most bikes of that era.
The visible grabrail and round yellow indicators are identical to the parts that Yamaha offered in 2003. The instrument console features three-pod design with centre section carrying the speedometer and odometer. The exhaust on the motorcycle is finished in chrome from the tip to the outer end.
Yamaha RX135 is powered by a 132cc, two-stroke engine producing 14 HP of maximum power and 12.25 Nm of torque. The low 116 kg of weight makes it an impressive bike as one can imagine KTM 125 Duke with 148 kg of weight and 14.5 HP of maximum power. The two-stroke engines were really powerful in comparison to the present-gen motors.
