MV Agusta has a unique appeal among other products in automotive industry. They offer class leading performance and more than that, exclusivity that can’t be matched. Manoj Kumar from Chennai was in love with MV Agusta F4 RC livery and thus, gave his own Yamaha R3 a taste of F4 AMG Limited Edition livery in India.
The cosmetic upgrade helped his bike stand out among others as it looks amazing from every possible viewing angle. This mod job took 20 days to complete and more than that, attracted INR 23,000 worth of overall cost. He feels happy when everyone asks him about this shade upgrade. The job has been done by Knight Auto Customizer (Chennai).
The theme looks awesome as top of fuel tank is finished in Red while side fairing is majority White and Red from the corners. Front fender gets carbon fiber finish while accessories on use include adjustable levers, all new handlebar and new studded turn indicators.
Radiator guard helps in protection of the cooling equipment while updated brake pads promise better bite than before. This modified Yamaha R3 is based on 2017 variant and thus, one does not get ABS as standard on this version. It was priced at INR 3.25 lakh, before BS4 norms kicked in and led to its discontinuation.
Yamaha R3 was relaunched in India for INR 3.48 lakh and this time, came with ABS as standard. This helped them place it better in competition with rivals like Benelli 302R, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and KTM RC390.
Major is planning for a hardware upgrade too but that will require more and more investment for custom ECU and other performance parts. Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321cc, twin cylinder engine producing 41.4 BHP and 29.6 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to 6-speed gearbox. Yamaha has skipped the LED headlight unit for R3 internationally but can offer this as next year’s update.
