The number of units sold for 150cc-250cc segment motorcycles is definitely breathtaking, with both Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache scoring huge success with equally massive numbers. Pulsar scored 89,374 units in sales whereas Apache was good for 55,460 units. Next three positions were bagged by Honda Unicorn (28,236 units), 150cc Yamaha FZ (21,205 units) and Yamaha R15 (13,054 units). These five motorcycles were the biggest threats to the commuter section of India. Honda xBlade and CB Hornet scored 7776 and 7387 units respectively. Hero Xtreme, Suzuki Gixxer and Bajaj Avenger 220 got the next three positions.
The younger Avenger was good for 2961 units while 200cc KTM models followed next with 2864 units. Yamaha SZ may look decent on paper but scoring 2760 units in the month of September made it a valuable asset of the Yamaha family. Bajaj V15 has almost lost its charm, with 1982 units in sales and staying just slightly ahead of Yamaha FZ25 with 1804 units. Hero Achiever is another slow seller with just 1183 units in the 30-day period while Suzuki Intruder and KTM Duke 250 got next two positions with 954 and 629 units respectively. Honda CBR250R posted 335 units in the charts while Hero Karizma was the least impressive model with just 11 buyers in the whole month.
