Brand-Wise 2-Wheeler Sales Report: Brand wise sales list of March 2018 witnessed a huge gap between two most selling options in India. Hero MotoCorp was good for 7,05,234 units while Honda got 4,20,290 buyers during this 31 day period.

The approx difference of 2.85 lakh units is more than what TVS (2,65,166 units) sold in March 2018. Bajaj Auto was fourth with 1,55,349 units in sale. These number are India specific as export numbers of Bajaj Auto is bigger than any other brand in India.

Royal Enfield took fifth position as registered 74,209 units were approx 8300 higher in comparison to Yamaha India (65,920 units). As Royal Enfield is finding more and more buyers for Classic 350 (over 50,000 on average), Yamaha is playing good for scooter department with Fascino and Ray.

Suzuki was seventh with 46,848 units. They have Access 125 as their best selling product while bikes are not even performing half than their actual expectations.

A sharp dip is witnessed after Suzuki with Piaggio selling 3,918 units of Vespa in March 2018. It is being closely chased by KTM with 3,635 units while Aprilia comes next at 2,770 units for tenth place in Indian brand wise two wheeler sales report.

TVS Sold 2,65,166 Bikes in March 2018

Mahindra registered just 690 units, making it the worst performing mass market brand. Harley Davidson is best selling premium motorcycle brand with 427 units while Kawasaki follows close with 299 units in March 2018.

Triumph struggles to claim its place among with 81 units during this 31 day period. Apart from these 14 brands, important brands like Benelli, BMW, Ducati, Indian, MV Agusta and UM do not reveal their monthly sales figure.

Apart from UM and Benelli, other four have a limited dealership network with products starting from a much higher price point than most Indian brands.
