Top 10 Best-Selling 250cc-500cc Bikes in March 2019

The top selling motorcycles from the 250cc-500cc segment have a fraction of number on their side in comparison to the smaller 150cc-250cc segment. However, Royal Enfield has posted a downfall in the sales number but the brand still retains four positions out of the first five bikes on this list.

The most selling motorcycle is the Classic series with 37,183 units while Bullet and Thunderbird are the next two with 13,495 and 5,091 units respectively. The tight hold of RE bikes on the 250cc-500cc segment is all due to these three options. Yamaha FZ25, along with the Fazer 25 comes next with just 1,508 units in March 2019. Royal Enfield Himalayan bagged the fifth position with 965 units on its side.

The worst part for the high value for money product is that they are struggling to improve numbers, even after adding ABS to the package. The next two positions have been bagged by KTM bikes with 617 units for the 250 Duke and 470 units for the 390 series. Bajaj Dominar is yet to make a full comeback as just 350 units were registered in the 31-day period.

TVS Apache RR 310 was good for just 279 units in March 2019. It is a very capable product but lacks the price point to attract a big sales number. Mahindra Mojo made a surprise entry into the list as almost 50% discount on the model helped the brand post 171 units. The motorcycle didn’t have the ABS update and thus, could not make its way to the market in April 2019.
