As we reported earlier, the 250cc Husqvarna bikes will be sold through KTM showrooms across India. Nijom Kumar (@niku17), a Maxabout enthusiast, has shared the images of the KTM-Husqvarna showroom located in Chennai. According to him, the 250cc Husqvarna motorcycles will on display very soon while the official launch is expected to happen in the next couple of weeks.
Powering both the Husqvarna motorcycles is a BS6-compliant 248.8cc single-cylinder 4-stroke liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine that is capable of generating maximum power of 31HP @ 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm @ 7250 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission along with a slipper clutch for smoother gear shift mechanism.
The brand has offered the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 with a cafe racer-inspired styling. The clip-on style handlebar units offered on the motorcycles further offers it a lean riding position. Coming to the neo-retro scrambler styling offered to the Svartpilen 250, the motorcycle offers an upright riding position making it good for mild off-roading as well as normal touring.
Both the 250ccHusqvarna motorcycles feature a retro round headlight in addition to getting basic designs, colours and round all-digital instrument console. The suspension duties on the motorcycles are handled by USD forks at the front that has been sourced from WP.
The rear end of motorcycles has been equipped with an adjustable WP monoshock. The braking power is offered by disc brakes at either side mated to 2-channel BOSCH ABS as standard. There is no official confirmation on the price tags of the 250cc Husqvarna bikes yet, though one can expect the brand to launch them at a price range of around INR 2.30 lakh to INR 2.50 lakhs (ex-showroom).
