Zontes is gearing up to launch five new motorcycles in the Indian two-wheeler market, and the first one among those is a GK 350 Sports Cafe. The brand has entered into a collaboration with Hyderabad-based Adishwar Auto Ride India Pvt Ltd (AARI) to bring the new products to the country. AARI also manages other brands like Benelli, Keeway, and the upcoming Moto Morini.
Zontes is owned by Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co Ltd, located in China. The firm, which was founded in 2003, specialises in the manufacturing of motorbikes and scooters using innovative industrial equipment on a robotised production line. To offer quality products to the buyers, the brand builds about 80% of its elements in-house. Zontes bikes are currently offered in 55 countries worldwide, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Meanwhile, the GK 350 Sports Cafe is nearly certain to arrive in India. The company is also planning to release the 350V cruiser, 350D maxi-scooter, 350T adventure motorcycle, and 350R streetfighter. These bikes get power from the 350cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected (Bosch) engine, which is capable of generating 39 HP at 9500rpm and 33 Nm at 7500rpm.
In terms of design and styling, all the bikes by the brand boast eye-catching aesthetics. The attention to detail and vast list of features is the most notable qualities of Zontes products. The offered features in the GK 350 Cafe are a TFT full-colour LCD screen, a comprehensive keyless control system (ignition, fuel lid, seat unlock, etc), riding modes, all-around LEDs, twin fast-charging USB ports, dual-channel ABS, and TPMS.
After being launched in the Indian market, the Zontes bikes and scooters might cost between Rs. 3 and 3.5 lakhs (ex-showroom). Along with Keeway and Moto Morini, they are projected to make an impact in the 300cc-500cc sector.
