The 600cc-1000cc segment has a new leader, leaving numbers posted by other brands to feel negligible for sure. The Royal Enfield 650 Twins are good for 1445 units in the 28-day period, all thanks to the impressive INR 2.50 lakh starting price.
The newcomers are known to make a mark in India, with Ninja ZX-6R taking the next position with 47 units. Every single example costs INR 10.49 lakh and helps owners fulfil their desire of owning a lightweight track racer. Kawasaki Z900 and Ninja 1000 got the next two slots with 39 and 32 units respectively. Triumph Street Twin followed close with 31 units.
Kawasaki Ninja 650 registered 17 units while Street Scrambler from Triumph was good for 13 units. Harley enters the list with Iron 883 at 12 units while rest two positions also went into the Kawasaki lineup with Vulcan S and Versys 650 registering 10 and 9 units.
Apart from the bestsellers, few other products were good for a handful of units in the Indian motorcycle industry. A long list of products registered 0 units during the period, either due to unavailability of import units or pending official discontinuation.
