It’s Official: 150cc Aprilia Sports Bike India Launch Next Year

As plans for the launch of 150cc Aprilia motorcycles in India are underway, the recent confirmation by the parent brand Piaggio’s chief has further strengthened the reports that are making rounds on the internet. Not just one or two, they have announced four new bikes under the Aprilia lineup. The manufacturing of 150cc motorcycle from Aprilia will begin around early 2020 or if late from the least limit, the same will arrive before the mid of 2020. Apart from the two scooters, Aprilia brings all other motorcycle models via the CBU route and gets heavy taxation like all other premium products.

Aprilia has confused everyone with the upcoming 150cc bike as reports are divided into two thought schools based on the products shown and spied during the last one year. The showcase of Aprilia RS 150 helped the buyers imagine what the production version for the upcoming Yamaha R15 V3 rival would look like but soon after few months, the GPR 150 was spotted in India undisguised. The model is a China-specific version that shares functional parts with the RS 150 and visual parts remain unique.

As they have officially projected a period for the manufacture of 150cc Aprilia bike in India, the test mules will further confirm the arrival of either GPR 150 or RS 150 in the country. Those who are excited can await test mules on the road by the third quarter of 2019 as more than 6 months of testing with more than 1 lakh kilometre on the odometer is expected from the reputed Italian brand.
