Talking about the design, the 2021 Aprilia RS 125 and Tuono 125 are inspired by their bigger siblings, the RS 660 and the Tuono 660. In comparison to the last-generation models, the updated models look more aggressive and they feature a sharper design language. The instrument console of both bikes looks quite similar to the SXR 160 scooter and it is a fully digital unit.

Some of the other key design elements include the likes of an edgy fuel tank, multi-spoke alloy wheels, USD front forks, signature Aprilia-style graphics, and a smart set of rearview mirrors. In comparison to the Tuono 125, the RS 125 is a fully-faired model and it also features a split seat. Mechanically, both the motorcycles are powered by a 124cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which is good enough to generate a maximum power of 15.2HP at 10,750 rpm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Unfortunately, we won’t be getting these two bikes in our country as India is a price-sensitive market and Aprilia won’t be able to sell these premium 125cc bikes in good numbers. We would instead be getting an affordable India-spec 300cc-400cc sportbike by 2023 while the brand is also planning to launch the RS 660 and Tuono 660 in the Indian markets in the coming weeks.
